External Hard Disk Drive backup System

Need an easy way to backup your important files?
Take a good external 3.5" USB HDD enclosure, put any size drive(up to 500GB) into it and you've got a great external backup drive. On any modern OS, just plug it into any USB 2.0 port and the drive will auto mount on your computer. Now just drag and drop important files on to the external drive icon and behold you have your data backed up. Here's a picture of the exclosure.

The enclosure is about $30.
Here are some IDE drive prices(as of 24-Apr-2006)

So as you can see, currently, the 250GB is the best bang for the buck.
What is nice about this approach is that the drive in the enclosure has a 5 year warranty as apposed to other external drives that usally warranty only for a year. We can build one, with a 250GB drive, for you for $160. This setup will will work with Windows XP, Mac OS X or Linux.
